John Bownds Award
The John Bownds Award is presented on the rarest of occasions to only those individuals who have exhibited significant and long sustaining achievements in the art and science of Search & Rescue. The John Bownds Award is not an annual award, and nominees are submitted in writing to the Board of Directors of the Arizona Search and Rescue Coordinator’s Association, LTD for review. The nominee for this prestigious award must meet criteria set forth through the Board of Directors of ASARCA.

Don Hornecker Coordinator Of The Year Award
Awarded to an Arizona Search & Rescue Coordinator for significant contributions to the furtherance of Search & Rescue in the State of Arizona. This award is not intended to be an award for years of service or to recognize retirement; rather it is intended to recognize outstanding contributions during the previous year. Nominations for this award are submitted to the Awards Committee of the ASARCA each year for consideration.
